I just wanted to share my journey, purpose and goals of ArtByZakia.

My journey and getting ArtByZakia to where it is today has been a bit of a rollercoaster.  From a young age I wanted to create meaningful fashion and a brand that I would be proud of . At the age of 16 I eventually took the step and started to plan ArtByZakia, unfortunately I didn't have the knowledge, skills or resources to dive into the fashion industry. I started selling my original artwork and prints at the age of 17, I sold my first piece which took 15+ hours to make for just £20, now that's what I call a bargain!

The Asian Community looks down on the art industry and I was told constantly by multiple people that it was  a waste of time and wouldn't lead me anywhere. Despite being told this, I still sold my artwork and did not stop believing in my dream. 

I owe it to my mum for supporting me since day 1, believing in not just my art but me too and helping to take ArtByZakia from the beginning to where it is now and where it is destined to go. I truly believe that without her help and support I wouldn't be where I am today!

The purpose of ArtByZakia is to create a special presence in your life by offering customisable gifts that have a unique and handmade touch. The ArtByZakia product portfolio is forever growing and gives you the opportunity to represent your roots, send a personalised present to a loved one or treat yourself. 

I believe ArtByZakia has a lot to offer you all in the future and therefore my goals are to connect with my audience through inspiration and interaction, grow ArtByZakia to be well known throughout the UK and offer a large selection of custom and unique products which make the perfect gift.

This is why I created ArtByZakia and I will continue to expand. My journey over the years has taught me not to let others bring you down and that you can always achieve whatever you put your heart too.
