A field of gold, wrapped all the way round your name.
£15.00 GBP
Description

Every spring, Punjab turns gold. Sarson blooms in endless rows across the fields, and for so many of us it is the picture that means home, whether that is a village we grew up visiting or a place we know from our nani's stories. This mug wraps that golden field all the way round, with your name written across it in any language you choose.

It is made for gifting, whether that is a Punjabi mum or nani, a sister living far from home, a friend who always asks for sarson da saag, or for keeping, for slow mornings and cold evenings. The sarson is also one of our National Flower necklaces, so the mug and pendant can go together as a gift set.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my name printed on the botanical Sarson mug?

Type your name into the personalisation box, in any language you like, and we set it across the sarson design. Short and medium names look best. If yours is long, message us and we will check the layout before printing.

What does the sarson represent?

Sarson, the mustard flower, carpets Punjab's fields in gold each spring. It is tied to the harvest, the season of Basant and the feeling of home, which is why so many Punjabis think of it as the flower of Punjab.

Is the sarson design printed all the way around the mug?

Yes. The sarson flowers continue right round the mug, so there is no plain side, whichever way you pick it up.

Is the mug dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes, it is dishwasher and microwave safe. The design is sublimation printed, so the colour is part of the mug's coating and will not peel. Washing it by hand will keep it looking its best for even longer.

Would this make a good gift, and does it ship for free?

It is a thoughtful gift for a Punjabi mum or nani, a sister living far from home, a friend. Each mug is made to order, and you will get a shipping confirmation email when it is on its way. Shipping is free on UK orders over £50 and international orders over £80.
